Located in the heart of downtown Washington, DC, this Class A office building was fully renovated to modernize the office building that was originally built in 1961, reduce BTU’s and operating costs.
The $12M+ renovation consisted of completley stripping down the building to the concrete frame and rebuilding it to include new state of the art systems and designs and a new two story lobby. To find a solution that would provide for a ceiling height of 8’-6” in the leasable tenant areas, Bala engineered a new 4-pipe active chilled beam system with a dedicated outside air system (DOAS) which provides more space to tenants.
