Located in University City and adjacent to the historic Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral, this 26-story, mixed-use residential building includes 276 apartments, retail and office space and a daycare facility in the lower level.
Selected by the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral, property developers, Radnor Property Group, was chosen to develop the church’s vacated property in West Philadelphia and renovate the existing Cathedral.
In addition to the 276 apartments, the building features a rooftop deck, fitness center, underground parking and a 9,300 SF daycare facility in the basement of the adjacent Cathedral available for the public and tenants.
The residential tower utilizes throughwall ducted heat pumps with the base retail and amenity areas served by a water source heat pump system. The heat pumps system is also tied into the office building and is engineered to allow separate metering for the 2 occupancies.
The daycare center utilizes the water source heat pump system within the Cathedral. A new steam service was utilized for the existing Cathedral to replace the existing boilers in order to facilitate the adaptive reuse of the building.
The building’s electrical service facilitates separate metering for the residential apartments, common areas, retail, office building and the Cathedral daycare.
The income stream from the apartments help maintain the Cathedral’s historic structure and expand its social services to the community.
