Jaindl Properties is developing a new, mixed-use, Class A office building in Allentown, Pennsylvania located adjacent to its sister building. The new building will consist of eight stories and feature 142,548 RSF of office space and 19,000 RSF of retail and restaurant space. The building will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies overlooking the river, as well as outside decks, meeting spaces and views of Waterfront Drive.
The building is equipped with a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system for all floors. Due to COVID-19, the owner has elected to increase the amount of outside air being delivered to the space and install UV lights in the return air ductwork of the Core & Shell VRF units to deactivate the virus that accumulate on the filters. The building has also been designed to account for cooking stations located on the ground floor. The electrical design accounts for a new 100KW generator to power life safety and elevators.
