Originally built in 2013 by 1547 Critical Systems Realty and Green House Data, this data center facility expanded to a 42,000 square foot, 5 MW, concurrently-maintainable facility.
Bala provided MEP/FP engineering for the Phase 3 Data Center Build-out at 1547 Critical System’s Realty colocation facility in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The project included the MEP/FP engineering infrastructure and fit-out of a 1 MW suite, new Meet-Me-Rooms, and pre-positioning of MEP/FP Infrastructure for an additional 1 MW suite. The design criteria included requirements to deliver a Tier III, concurrently maintainable critical systems infrastructure to serve the new Data Center suite(s). The scope also included providing an additional 500kW of UPS capacity to the existing system. Major equipment required for this project included (2) 2,000kW Diesel Generators with enclosure and belly tanks, (1) 1,500kVA 13.2kV/480V Pad Mounted Transformer, (1) 2500A 480V Main Switchgear with automated main breaker controls, (4) 800A 480V UPS Output Switchboards with bypass, (4) 321kW IDEC Cooling Units to support 900kW of Thermal Load (N+1 redundancy) and (1) Make-up Air Unit (MAU) for Data Center Pressurization.
