Bala performed MEP/FP engineering services for Markem Imaje, a manufacturer and distributor of specialized traceability, variable data, and product identification equipment. The project included a public and staff leisure and interaction space, office and meeting spaces, and digital and laser lab spaces. Each space is visible to one another, although unique glass partitions allow for selective privacy.
The space includes a kitchen area, meeting spaces, fitness rooms, shower rooms, a locker room, bike storage rooms, and a landscaped courtyard.
The lab spaces are designed for very technical equipment but are inherently collaborative, giving employees the opportunity to work together. The facility includes five fully-kitted labs and workshop rooms, open-planned office spaces, and state-of-the-art breakout areas to foster teamwork.
