The New Jersey Fiber Exchange is a leader in Data Center and Colocation solutions. Bala engineered a new Tier 3 carrier neutral Data Center facility, which intersects where subsea cables from the U.S., South America, and Europe meet at the easternmost edge of the United States.
Bala designed a technology-centered facility that provides flexibility, scalability, robust system reliability and is energy efficient. This Tier 3 compliant mission critical facility ultimately accommodates 1,000 IT Cabinets and approximately 3.6MW of IT Load in a hot aisle/cold aisle arrangement.
The project was constructed in multiple phases. The new two-story, 65,000 square foot facility includes a first-floor Data Center to support 400-cabinets, a Meet-Me-Room, CRAH gallery, interior switchgear and generator rooms and support spaces. The 2nd floor includes a Data Center to support 600-cabinets, electrical rooms for UPS and STS/PDUs, IDF Room, and break room. The facility is slab-on grade with no raised floor.
