The Saint Joseph Medical Center is a leading provider of heart, orthopedics, cancer and birthing care. Bala provided MEP/FP engineering services for the replacement of their fire alarm system.
This project involved the replacement of the existing fire alarm system, with a new device addressable networked fire alarm system. The system consisted of fire alarm panels located throughout the facility connected to a fiber-optic network. Evacuation signals were voice type, with fire alarm speaker strobes providing evacuation signals. The system was also designed to high-rise building standards.
